NCC

The College started the Senior Division N.C.C. with 125 student cadets from 02.02.1996. In 2004 33 girl-cadets for the first time joined N.C.C. Every year an average of 8 camps are organized in Panagarh which includes C.A./T.C./T.S.C. camps. Every year an average of 2 camps are organized by a state in India. Similarly, a State organizes a single ARMY ATTACHMENT CAMP PER YEAR. In the last decade 17 students from this College were recruited to the B.S.F., Indo Tibetan Border Police, Indian Army and the West Bengal Police respectively. In 1998 2 N.C.C. Cadets from this College participated in the Republic Day Parade representing the state of West Bengal. From 2001 to 2007 each year a student of this College participated in the Republic Day Parade, thereby bringing a lot of accolades to the college. Every year 70% - 80% student cadets pass with B. Certificate and C. Certificate. Interested Students can join the N.C.C. to keep up this glorious tradition of the N.C.C. unit of the college.

NSS

The first unit of National Service Scheme was launched in the 1990-91 academic session after getting permission from the NSS Division of the University of Burdwan. Later in the academic session of 2001-02 the second unit of NSS was set up. The aim of NSS is to develop among the students a sense of participation towards nation-building while providing a creative outlet to their energies. Its motto is “Not Me But You” and “Service Above Self”. The students are encouraged to join NSS so that they may contribute their might towards national reconstruction. We take immense pride that our students have been devotedly engaged in organizing various activities of social relevance like Blood donation camp, Aids Awareness programme in the locality or going to the adopted village and helping the villagers to reconstruct the roads or planting trees or carrying out Literacy Programmes.

LIbrary

The College library has already been fully computerized and as a part of it most of the books have been catalogued and bar-coded. This enables its users to exercise searching and borrowing options. With wi-fi facility now made available, students can make extensive use of internet.

Computer Laboratory:

These computers are available to the students studying Computer Application Course under B.Sc in Mathematics/ Physics with computer application for doing class work and practical under the guidance and supervision of the concerned teachers.

Internet Connectivity:

Wi-Fi based Internet connectivity is available throughout the campus for authorized academic usage. Computers are installed within the library and the computer lab to provide students with internet accessibility but under the supervision of the concerned staff.

Virtual Class room:

The Virtual Class-room facility is meant to bridge the physical distance between teachers and students who are at different physical locations. The Virtual Class-room facility which has been christened as Sir Ashutosh’s Memorial Class-room is capable of transmitting and receiving interactive high-definition video classes through internet. This room is also equipped with campus LAN and Wi-Fi facility.

Parent-Teacher Association/ Contact

Orientation Program for the fresh batch of students is organized every year at the start of the new session to apprise them and their parents about the value systems and traditions of the college. Apart from that Parent-teachers meetings are conducted at regular intervals to keep them abreast with the recent happenings in the college. The parents can also meet with the Principal particularly within 10 am and 12 Noon on any working day for any queries in their mind.

Alumni Association

Very recently the BBKM Alumni Association has been formed. It serves as a platform to bring together the former students who are willing to contribute towards the advancement of their alma mater. All former students and teachers of the college are eligible to become members of this association. It is an organization maintaining liaison between the past and the present and promoting multidimensional activities.

Guidance and Career Counselling

The college maintains a Career counselling cell which provides guidance and counselling to the students regarding higher studies and conducts coaching, model tests, group discussions and mock interviews. Time to time, the college organizes ‘Entry to the Service Programme’ sponsored by UGC with the objective of creating awareness among the students and motivating them to appear for different competitive examinations like TET, RAIL, BANK, WBPSC, etc. Career Counselling Cell organizes various workshops and programs for future choice of career.

Computer Training Centre

There is a Computer Training Centre which has been running by Webel Informatics Ltd.( a Govt. of West Bengal Undertaking) and it conducts ' A Computer Diploma Course'. Any student of this College can take admission in this Diploma Courses and this centre offers Computer Diploma courses at a concessional price.
